In the month of the city economy, the "Hamburger Friedhöfe" (Hamburg cemeteries) cordially invite you to visit them:

Ohlsdorf Cemetery is the largest park cemetery in the world, operated by Hamburger Friedhöfe -AöR-. This tour shows the classic elements of park design and looks at the use of the cemetery as a green space with its chapels, fountains, bridges and trees. The focus is on the image-oriented staging of the landscape with, for example, visual axes and gateway trees as well as the play with showing and concealing in a green space that is supposed to look natural but was created artificially. Along the way, we will not miss the imposing angels, graves of celebrities such as Inge Meysel, Ida Ehre and Gustav Gründgens and visit the rose garden and the Althamburg Memorial Cemetery.

In the lecture section in Chapel ONE, ideas for new burial sites and park uses will be presented and the subsequent use of mourning chapels as places of education and encounter will be discussed. One focus of the presentation will be the new conference and seminar management. Feel free to bring questions and ideas!
