FZW Indie Night: NECRØ, Transparent Man

NECRØ from Portugal quickly positioned themselves as a powerhouse within the European dark electronic scene, interweaving industrial, darkwave and cinematic synth elements. The duo, consisting of João Vairinhos and Sara Inglês, have wowed listeners and critics alike with their immersive, dark and gloomy soundscapes, characterized by haunting synth lines, moving beats and melancholic vocals. Their debut EP "Death Beats" from 2023 delivers an atmospheric yet visceral sound that reflects influences of Boy Harsher's noir synthwave and Perturbator's dystopian intensity, but is unique nonetheless.
NECRØ's international debut in Germany, hosted by Cold Transmission Music (their new record label), marked a turning point in the expansion of their audience and secured NECRØ a place on the European stage. The upcoming album with Cold Transmission, a label known for promoting dark electronic and post-punk, promises to further explore their thematic and musical range. According to Cold Transmission, NECRØ's sound combines "ferocious electronic sounds with exploratory, introspective lyrics".

Transparent Man is a solo downtempo electronic music artist who shuttles between Thessaloniki (GR) and Utrecht (NL).
The project combines atmospheric soundscapes, guitar melodies and inventive rhythms. The artist searches for sounds to create a musical grid that encompasses every emotion. Memories and experiences of pain, loneliness and create musical contrasts that run through his work.
He has performed in various EU countries and has shared the stage with artists such as Wax Tailor. In April 2025, he released his debut album , which was featured as number 1 in the "New & Notable" section of Bandcamp and cemented his place in the international downtempo scene. His first EP, was released in April 2020 via the label "Logarithm Cassette" in a cassette format. The EP was praised by prominent Greek cultural sites such as LIFO and Athens Voice and was played by major Greek radio stations such as En Lefko 87.7 and Best Radio 92.6.
Transparent Man has released music on labels such as S!X Music, Vinyl Digital, Logarithm, Pueblo Vista <<π ṽ ş>> and Lounge Disorder. Notably, his single has been featured in three Spotify editorial playlists with over 5 million listens.
In 2021, he was one of three Greek artists nominated for the HEMI Music Awards, selected from a group of 285 European artists, of which only 27 were chosen by the jury.
