Galeria Charity Wald Eröffnung in Frankfurt

This year, GALERIA is once again hosting the Charity Wald project, which supports children in difficult life situations. All Frankfurters are welcome to attend the opening ceremony with presenter Jana Ina Zarrella on November 7 at 4.00 pm.

The GALERIA store at the Hauptwache in Frankfurt (Zeil 116-126) invites you to the grand opening of the popular GALERIA Charity Forest. The event will take place on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. on the 6th floor. Frankfurt's Head of Economic Affairs Stephanie Wüst will welcome the guests. The program will be hosted by Jana Ina Zarrella. During the event, guests can expect a festive atmosphere with live music, ballet performances, pastries and drinks. With this campaign, GALERIA would like to motivate all customers to think of people who are less fortunate in the run-up to Christmas and to give them at least a little joy.

How the charity forest works

Wish lists from and for residents - mostly children - from social institutions are hung on each charity tree. GALERIA visitors can choose a wish list, purchase the gift on it and hand it in at the respective store by the end of the campaign. In Frankfurt until December 10 at the checkouts on the 4th and 6th floors. The gifts and donations are handed over to the social institutions shortly before Christmas so that they are under the Christmas trees in time for the festive season.

This year, around 900 wish lists from children and families cared for by social institutions are hanging on the festively decorated trees in Frankfurt's GALERIA. The following organizations will be supported in 2025: Stiftung Frankfurter Löwenkinder, MainLichtblick e.V., Frankfurter Kinderbüro, Family House des Kinderschutzbundes Frankfurt, Arche Kinderstiftung, Stiftung Waisenhaus, SOS-Kinderdorf Frankfurt am Main, KinderEngel RheinMain e.V. and the RTL - Wir helfen Kindern foundation.

An established tradition - from one tree to an entire forest

Today, the Charity Forest is an established project of the heart throughout Germany - and has its roots far back in GALERIA's history. Decades ago, individual stores already had so-called charity trees where customers could fulfill the Christmas wishes of children in difficult life situations. Over the years, the great positive response turned one tree into a whole forest. Today, all GALERIA stores in Germany take part in the campaign. The number of trees varies from store to store - depending on the size and space available - but the same principle applies everywhere: giving joy together, fulfilling wishes and supporting children.

The Frankfurt Galaxy association is also enthusiastic about the campaign and was immediately willing to get involved. In addition to donations in kind, the team is also using its social media reach to motivate as many people as possible to get involved
