Genesis Special Nights - Motetten-Chor Nürnberg

An unusual concert format as part of Illumination Genesis: at the Special Nights, a 45-minute long version of the light show is shown, with musicians presenting their own program, precisely coordinated with the visual content of the light show. Live and to the point!

The Nuremberg Motet Choir is one of the city's most important concert choirs. With works from the Romantic and modern periods (including motets by A. Bruckner, S. Rachmaninov, A. Pärt and O. Gjeilo), the Nuremberg Motet Choir presents sacred compositions that revolve around the themes of faith, love and hope. The human longing for light forms the basis of many impressive large-scale choral compositions and is often impressively synaesthetically combined with the architecture of church spaces.
