Genesis Special Nights - Paul Bießmann

An unusual concert format as part of Illumination Genesis: at the Special Nights, a 45-minute long version of the light show is shown, with musicians presenting their own program, precisely coordinated with the visual content of the light show. Live and to the point!

Paul Bießmann is a pianist and sound researcher who sometimes uses ECGs on trees, a choir of telephones or computer-controlled water bottles for his music.
For the Genesis project, he is developing his own program for synthesizers and live electronics. Organic textures, carried by basses and hypnotic rhythms, combine to create music between abstract ambient, energetic electronica and spontaneous improvisation.
