Genesis Special Nights - Pocket Opera Company

An unusual concert format as part of Illumination Genesis: at the Special Nights, a 45-minute long version of the light show is shown, with musicians presenting their own program, precisely coordinated with the visual content of the light show. Live and to the point!

Germany's oldest independent and mobile music theater is always looking for new forms of expression and is known for its cross-border projects. Like birds awakening in the morning, four musicians play musical phrases to each other over long distances and using the acoustics of St. Peter's Church, in search of the connection between time and space with compositions by J. Cage, R. Hahn and E. Satie, among others. The human voice, with its unlimited tonal and expressive possibilities, enters into unexpected connections and can be experienced in a new way.
