Jazz flamenco

Seville meets New York: "Duende Now" sheds new light onthe colorfulness of two musical traditions. By combining the rhythmic energy and typical melodic potential of flamenco with the improvisational language and lively gestures of jazz, the musicians create a new atmospheric and sonic flair.

Here, the characteristic Spanish guitar sound unites with multi-faceted improvisations of violin and jazz guitar and the percussive spectrum of cajon, tablas and drums.

This music takes us into different musical worlds and creates a variety of unmistakable musical voices and moods - between a "fiesta-like" acoustic scenario and contemplation - in which the musical language of Andalusia always shines through.
