Gernot Voltz - Pleiten, Pech & Populisten

What a time it is. The Thermomix sends a friend request on Facebook, more drones fly in cities than songbirds and the yellow peril is now orange and comes from the USA. Everything has to happen, nobody can do it and populists are spreading fake news about events before they have even happened. It is not easy to pause for a moment in this fast-moving chaos so as not to lose sight of the big picture, but it is certainly very entertaining.

Gernot Voltz, who has been a guest on cabaret stages for years with his character "Herr Heuser vom Finanzamt", shows that he also has a lot to say as a stand-up cabaret artist. In his punchy stocktaking, he encounters the verbally incontinent lateral thinker as well as the start-up company for poor people or the genetic engineer who clones the butcher from the sausage! When he then sings folk songs for the waiting room, the orientation guide also becomes a musical delight.

"Pleiten, Pech und Populisten" - a cabaret program based on the motto: even if you don't know which way to go, don't let the laughter fall by the wayside!

Gernot Voltz was a regular guest on "Stratmann's" (WDR -TV), has for many years created the WDR radio program "Hart an der Grenze" together with Wilfried Schmickler, was an author for "Mittenachtspitzen" (WDR-TV) and writes for many cabaret colleagues. This is his 6th solo program.
