In the organizer's words:

In view of the authoritarian positions that are becoming ever stronger in politics, in view of the nationwide cuts in the cultural and educational sectors, in view of power-political discourses in the arts themselves, the freedom of art is increasingly at stake.

How important is art for a free society? Are we prepared to protect art? Or are we even gradually undermining the claim to art through structural developments in our institutions?

A three-part series of talks by the Hessian Theater Academy aims to explore the many aspects of this complex topic.
