One year after their acclaimed debut at the Schwanen, Gidiki return to the Kulturhaus Schwanen Waiblingen on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 - with new music, fresh energy and their latest album "Planinata". The five musicians from Athens remain true to their style: Greek fusion folk between tradition, dance and urban groove - but everything is even wilder, freer and more improvised.

What began in 2025 as an energetic experiment has now developed into a movement. Gidiki naturally combine old folk tunes with a modern sound language that breaks down boundaries and connects generations. Their "modern urban celebration" is not a concept, but a living encounter: when lute, clarinet, violin and percussion meet pulsating rhythms, the result is music that moves the body and heart.

With her three albums "Ahoy" (2023), "Perasma" (2024) and now "Planinata" (2025), Gidiki charts the path of a band that is constantly growing and inviting new voices - including Sandra Sangiao, former singer of the Barcelona Gipsy Balkan Orchestra. Their songs tell of landscapes, new beginnings and connections - and do exactly what music should do live: Create community, share joy, open horizons.
