Gioachino Rossini: "Stabat Mater"

Rossini is known in music history as one of the most important opera composers. With its setting of the medieval poem about Mary's pain and grief for her crucified son, "Stabat Mater" is one of his few sacred compositions. Musically, the maestro remained true to his style, which is why insiders consider the piece to be his most beautiful opera.

In addition to the "Stabat Mater", the "Litania Ostrobramska III", composed in 1854, is a rarely performed work by the father of Polish National Opera - Stanislaw Moniuszko.
