A play by freie bühne stuttgart in cooperation with Theaterhaus Stuttgart for young audiences aged 11 and over and adults

After last year's great success, the GiRRRRls return to the Kulturhaus Schwanen Waiblingen on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 8 pm. Three young actresses with Down syndrome will once again take to the stage and show just how much energy, humor and resilience can be packed into an evening of theater.

The ⟨GiRRRRRls⟩ are in town. They are spreading. They are growing up. They take you over. They make a racket. They get serious. They break out. They fall in. They love you. They annoy you. They wrap you up. They repel you. They upset you. They attract you. They make you melt. Become a fan.
The performance by freie bühne stuttgart (in cooperation with Theaterhaus Stuttgart) takes the audience on a journey through childhood, growing up and the struggle for equality. With little language but a lot of physicality and presence, the GiRRRRls raise questions that are highly topical in society: What does growing up mean? How does it feel to be underestimated from the outside - and what happens when you reclaim your own role?

⟨GiRRRRLs⟩ provide encouragement. In the play, the three young actors with Down's syndrome take us into their world: being a child, growing up - what does this mean for young women who are pushed into the role of outsiders by society and fight for their equal rights?

"GiRRRRRls" is an evening for young people aged 11 and over and adults who want to experience theater that encourages and at the same time takes a stand.
