Gert Heidenreich is being celebrated twice this fall: Firstly as the congenial screenwriter of the new Edgar Reitz film "Leibniz - Chronik eines verschollenen Bildes", and secondly as a poetic word painter in his new collection of stories (Bibliothek der Provinz). The new and rediscovered texts collected here deal with hallucinations after the election shock of 2024. 18 oysters, enjoyed on the Atlantic. Of a nocturnal encounter with a rain-soaked Goethe. Whether a philosophical contemplation of images or an emotional description of the current situation: Gert Heidenreich once again proves himself to be a brilliant "champion of freedom in art"(FAZ).
