Götz Widmann is best known for his mercilessly honest party anthems bursting with joie de vivre, such as "Heute mach ich einen drauf", "Holland" or "Hank starb an 'ner Überdosis Hasch". But anyone who reduces him to just that is missing half the truth: with songs like "Die zwei Trauben", "Ich liebe mich" or "Romi", he has written some of the most beautiful German love songs ever. It is precisely this mixture that makes his concerts so special: uninhibited collective good humor with goose bumps included.

Götz Widmann is anything but a naive do-gooder, his black humor is second to none. And yet his songs always celebrate love, togetherness and the dignity of every single person - uncompromising, without false taboos, sometimes cheeky, sometimes tender. With an almost prophetic gift, he has been writing songs for over 30 years that often feel even more relevant today than when they were written.

Guys like Götz Widmann have become rare, yet they have never been needed as much as they are now.
