Every year between the days, Olli Gee brings various blues musicians to Achim for the Grand Jam.
On Sunday, December 28, 2025, the Kasch Achim, Bergstraße 2, 28832 Achim, invites you to the Grand Jam Festival. As with every Grand Jam, the audience can expect a unique line-up of outstanding musicians who will only be performing in this exact constellation on this evening. Different generations, voices and varieties of blues, soul, gospel and Americana merge into a stylistic overall picture full of groove, emotion and spontaneity - carried by the joy of playing and virtuosity of award-winning artists.
Since 2008, Osnabrück bassist Oliver Geselbracht, alias Olli Gee, has been bringing together top-class musicians every year at Kasch Achim with the Grand Jam series. The idea: a festival evening full of improvisation, changing line-ups and energetic live moments. The Kasch becomes a stage for encounters where musical boundaries blur and new worlds of sound are created. Particularly impressive: all the musicians involved have already won several German and European Blues Awards - a guarantee for an evening full of quality, passion and joy of playing.
Among them is Janne Timmer, winner of the European Blues Challenge 2022, who will give you goosebumps with her heartfelt, honest voice and her project Voice at the Piano. Till Seidel, a fixture in German rhythm'n'blues and soul for over 15 years and frontman of the award-winning The Bluesanovas since 2024, brings a joy of playing and a rousing stage presence. Michael van Merwyk, awarded Best Blues Singer and Guitarist, follows in the tradition of the great songsters and inspires with his resonator guitar and profound stories. Thomas Feldmann, a veteran of the German blues scene, impresses with his harmonica and saxophone playing; he has toured the world, played with international greats and won two German Blues Awards in 2024. The unmistakable keyboard sound is provided by Nico Dreier, pianist and Hammond organist of the multi-award-winning Bluesanovas, who is one of the best in his profession in Germany. Philipp Dreier sets the tone on drums - with groove, energy and precision, he forms the foundation for the band. Finally, Olli Gee himself, the creative head of the festival, will be on stage: for many years bassist of the legendary Blues Company and today initiator of the Grand Jam series, who sees his instrument as a supporting voice full of expressiveness and brings musicians together to create a unique jam experience.
This creates a unique concert experience at Kasch, where some of the best blues musicians in Europe improvise together, cross boundaries and captivate the audience with their joy of playing and energy.
