Greco-Zaza-Turco-Musiksalon mit Deep Ya Deep, Astare Artner, BABUKO, Babayani

Whether Greek, Kurdish or Turkish roots - the Greco-Zaza-Turco music salon draws on a common musical heritage from the Eastern Mediterranean. The artists create something new from it, interpret it in their own way, write their own songs and create their own sound. The bands in this edition - Deep Ya Deep, BABUKO and Babayani - are at home in Düsseldorf and invite their musical friend Astare Artner & Band from Cologne to join them. They are coming together at the FFT for a special live music evening. There will be live music from 10 pm to midnight, followed by DJ sets with Greek, Kurdish and Turkish sounds from midnight.

Deep Ya Deep from Düsseldorf are Miltiadis Oulios on tzoura, Adonis Papamichail on guitar and Simon Tressin on darbuka and cajon. The trademark of the alternative world band are their Greek-German songs, sounds and everyday poetry. Their current single is called "Gia Sena" (For You). FEVRONIA from Cologne will be the guest singer.

Astare Artner is a singer and Tembur player from Cologne, who performs her songs in the ancient Iranian language Zazaki, inspired by mythical motifs from the Dersim region, with Nurullah Turgut on percussion and Sedar Tunc on bass.

BABUKO are hip-hopper and DJ Ugur Kepenek and singer Nadin Tanriverdi from Düsseldorf. They perform Anatolian electro-pop songs with electronic beats, samples and ney flute.

Babayani are the multi-instrumentalists Kazim-Kamer Kalayci from Düsseldorf and Emre İşlemecioğlu from Kiel. With their roots in Turkey, the two musicians interpret Anatolian sounds at will, sometimes traditionalist and sometimes surprisingly out of line.
