"A Grobschnitt tour without a stop in Osnabrück is a no-go, says lead guitarist and founding member Lupo. At our first two gigs at the Rosenhof, we had a full house here with an incredible atmosphere". Even the municipal fire department didn't take long to tame the notorious Grobschnitt stage fog at an acoustic concert. The musicians and their fans were accordingly delighted to see the German band legend again. In addition to Grobschnitt founding member "Lupo", singer, guitarist and also founding member "Willi Wildschwein" and his son "Nuki" on guitar and percussion will also be performing.

The "Grobschnitt Acoustic Party" is a 3-hour emotional journey, including intermission, through the band's 55-year music history with many well-known song classics from the albums from 1972 to 1989 and will be presented and celebrated up close in a family atmosphere. This includes compositions that the band has never or only rarely played live. Of course, the program also includes the two long tracks "Solar Music" and "Rockpommel`s Land", each in 30-minute acoustic versions, which, as is well known, should not be missing from any Grobschnitt performance. For the third concert in the Rosenhof, the three musicians have also brought along other Grobschnitt song classics that will celebrate their live premiere in Osnabrück. No more will be revealed.

"It's simply wonderful to hear these new acoustic arrangements, which oscillate between folk, rock and classical guitar art, in a new guise," is the opinion of the still numerous Grobschnitt fans. And it's not just the song classics that captivate the enthusiastic audience, but also the typical Grobschnitt humor, which the musicians repeatedly reveal between songs in the form of short anecdotes. Grobschnitt concerts are like music-comedy class reunions with the fans, who are not afraid to travel long distances to see their favorite band.

Willi: "When we embarked on the acoustic Grobschnitt adventure in 2019, we didn't know exactly what to expect. But after the first few concerts, it was clear to us that the mix of purely acoustic music and communicative fun with the fans proved to be a hit. Add to that the much-praised crystal-clear acoustic sound and the fantastic light animations. There is no acoustic campfire romanticism with us, we rock the halls. There are still so many stories to tell that we could easily play for another 50 years.

To the delight of Grobschnitt enthusiasts, a purely acoustic studio album featuring the band's classic songs was released in May 2022 and went straight to number 25 in the German album charts. The work, simply titled "GROBSCHNITT ACOUSTIC ALBUM", contains 14 tracks and is a reminiscence of the band's 50th anniversary. But it is also a tribute to the band's loyal fan base, which now spans three generations and whose motto "No day without Grobschnitt" has always been and still is cult.

Lupo: "Osnabrück" and the entire region have always been a Grobschnitt stronghold with a top home-game factor, bringing back incredible memories of the first concerts in the mid-70s in the auditorium of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and in the legendary "Hyde Park". This was followed by concerts in the Stadthalle and, on June 2, 1984, a performance at the legendary European Rock Festival in the stadium on the Bremer Brücke. Not to forget the countless concerts in the Osnabrück area: Papenburg, Damme, Vechta, Haßbergen, Ibbenbüren, Lingen, Nordhorn, Vechta, Bünde, Aurich, Harsewinkel, Bünde, Damme, Rheine.
