The time has finally come: Junges Schauspiel and Stadt:Kollektiv invite you to Central for a double premiere and family festival. What has long belonged together is now coming together spatially: theater for a young audience and theater with people from the city - playing theater and experiencing theater. Between the main railway station and Worringer Platz, two different genres are forming a new, creative powerhouse in the neighborhood, which is being developed into a lively, attractive meeting place for all generations.
We welcome youfrom 4 pm and invite you to discover our newly renovated Central. The festive opening with guests from politics and culture begins at 5 pm. Afterwards we celebrate twice: with the premieres of "Timm Thaler oder Das verkaufte Lachen" and "Das Floß der Medusa", both of which will also be broadcast live on the bridge. Things get really colorful from 10 p.m.: Effi Biest and a citizens' choir bring diversity to the main stage. At the same time, the D'Impronauten improvise spontaneous scenes with the audience on the Small Stage, and DJ duo Peter and Wolfgang kick off the first Bridge&Beats party on the Brücke! The whole house is on the move: Karaoke is sung in the artists' dressing room, and we take a look into a shared future at the theater oracle .
Family festival on World Children's Day - Saturday is all about families. From 2 pm, we invite you to a colorful program for children and their grown-ups: Concerts, hands-on activities and information stands from local initiatives await you on the forecourt. Together with WPKultur, appealing neighborhood activities will take place under the motto "Creating connections". You can look forward to games in the chill area, sing-along moments at the piano, magical moments with magician Jesse Albert and extra glitter at the Drag Story Hour. And in the middle of it all is the living postbox: send greetings on postcards designed by local artists - with their visions for Worringer Platz. From 3 pm, an entertaining season preview will provide insights into the coming theater year. In addition, guided tours behind the scenes open up unusual perspectives on the theater and the neighborhood. With the CyberRäuber theater automaton , we travel into virtual worlds we have created ourselves. At Per:form Cooking on the bridge, we will chop, cook - and of course eat - together.
Discover the new Central with us - a theater for and with the people of this city!
