GROOVING DOCTORS CHALLENGE
Classic Rock Benefit Concert at the KESSELHAUS

When the Grooving Doctors Challenge contacted us, we were very impressed that this project had already raised tens of thousands of euros for charitable causes. We immediately wanted to support it. It may sound clichéd, but it's true: music helps! The "rockers" of the doctors' charity rock band Grooving Doctors Challenge have made it their mission to do nothing less. The band performs several times a year for charitable causes and donates all the proceeds.
Now they will be heating up their audience with groovy riffs and a groovy sound. They have the greatest hits of classic rock with them.

All proceeds from the evening will go to "ASB - Regionalverband Westhessen" to support the "Glücksfahrten" project for people with limited mobility to combat loneliness.

About Grooving Doctors Challenge:
18 years ago now, a small group of doctors* came together to revive a childhood dream and make rock music together. One of the idea generators, "Masterbrain" manager Helmut Golke, fell ill with life-threatening leukemia in January 2005 and only survived thanks to his irrepressible will to live and the art of medicine. These circumstances gave birth to the non-profit association "Grooving Doctors", whose declared aim is to collect donations through rock concerts in order to financially support prophylaxis, research and care for sick people. The resulting network of supporters and fans of the project reflects the importance of the charity project, as does the participation of more or less prominent musicians (Jürgen Zöller, BAP drummer). After several line-up changes, the band reformed in January 2024. Founding members Helmut Golke, Hans-Jürgen Lange, Bernd Pfeffer and Tobias Hampl were joined by saxophonist Christian Felke, drummer Thomas Ziegler, guitarist Sonja Schellenberg, bassist Wolfgang Wolf and singer Betti Weishaupt. Michael Boddenberg and Marina Held have also been on stage for several years. This new band formation has opened a new chapter in the history of the Grooving Doctors. Since then, small and large concerts have been presented to an enthusiastic audience with fresh impetus and a new musical direction.

The concert is supported by Kulturzentrum Schlachthof Wiesbaden, Nassauische Sparkasse and Lotto Hessen.
