The engine starts. The bus groans as it leaves the station. Next stop: Akademietheater Mitte. Based on documentary research, director Serge Okunev explores experiences of forced migration and brings them together in a moving evening of theater. The audience travels along the stages of old myths and fairy tales: From the first step over the threshold into the unknown, to the confrontation with fear, to triumph and dissolution in celebration. What connects today's travelers with archetypal heroes and what similarities are revealed when sharing their stories? Through laughter and play, the audience and ensemble create an alternative space of joy while disasters pass by outside the window.
