Haidhausen

In the organizer's words:

Today, Haidhausen is one of Munich's hippest districts - for going out, living and working. And yet it is much older than the old town: the district was first mentioned in a document as early as 808.
We stroll through the former hostel and French quarter and go in search of clues: How did the "suburbanites" live here in the 19th and 20th centuries? What shaped their everyday lives - and what challenges did they face back then?
If you still feel like it afterwards, you can end the tour in the nearby Werksviertel at Ostbahnhof - for example with a ride on the "Umadum" Ferris wheel and a view over the city.
