The horror genre and social criticism - name a more iconic duo! At our Halloween evening on October 29, Simoné Goldschmidt-Lechner(NERD GIRL MAGIC) and Brian Frank(SPASSPARK) will read and discuss diverse, queer and BIPoC horror with you.

• Admission from 18:30, start at 19:00
• There are about 25 seats. It's worth being on time, because the best seats are of course right at the front. :)
• We are preparing a small Halloween book table 👻

About Brian
Brian Frank, *1993, writes suspense, queer horror and literary fiction for adults and young people. He studied creative writing in Hildesheim and now lives in Hamburg. His young adult novel Nachtschwärmer (cbj 2019) was awarded the Saarland Youth Book Prize. His horror novel Fun Park (Books on Demand 2024), in which three estranged friends face the supernatural horrors of their childhood, was nominated for the Krefeld Prize for Fantastic Literature 2025.

About Simoné
Simoné Goldschmidt-Lechner writes, translates and works as an interdisciplinary artist
and author. Her first novel, Messer, Zungen (Knives, Tongues) was published in 2022.
bilingual novella Ich kann dich noch sehen (an diesen Tagen) was awarded the Hamburg Literature Prize for the Book of the Year 2024. Simoné uses word art as a social intervention and highlights marginalized perspectives in various genres. This is also the case in her recently published non-fiction book Nerd Girl Magic, a book about fandom from a marginalized perspective.
