Every place has its stories. Some have thousands, some have one very special one. And because this is the case, Kampf der Künste is organizing the "Poetry Slam City Battle". Sometimes it's between two cities and sometimes between two regions, but it's always a battle between two worlds that ultimately want the same thing: To tell what it's like to be at home. To tell what it is like to search for exactly that; to tell stories of all the little moments and thoughts, of the journeys home and long nights, of failure and love, of staggering and getting up. Our poets regularly prove that this can feel different everywhere. And in March, two very special worlds meet once again: Hamburg meets Munich, the ships and the harbor meet the city in the foothills of the Alps, "Moin" meets "Servus", the water meets the Wie'n and of course: the best poets from both cities meet. And although we are of course talking about fighting, about each other and about better and even better - this battle and all those who may follow it is one thing above all: an evening full of stories from the city, full of laughter and full of schnapps, full of joy for each other and joy that - as with every battle - in the end it's all about telling each other what it's actually like to see the streets of your own city, to hear the hearts beating in the alleyways, full of words in your head and stories in your stomach.
