After Mrs. Helbing, Eberhard Michaely invented the janitor Penzkofer. When he opens the door to Mr. Schmadtke's apartment in "Wasserschaden", the janitor sees the man dead, tied to a chair.
In Regula Venske's "Die Schneckenkönigin", Romy, a psychotherapist, can look into the souls of others, but who is the killer who puts biblical quotations into action? Ben Westphal is a narcotics investigator and writes harbor crime novels. When ex-narcotics investigator Gerd Sehling comes across a known drug dealer in "Der Bulle in der HafenCity", his old investigative instinct is awakened.
Cosy crime to perfection: in Marie-Christin Fuchs' "Mord macht keine Ferien" (Murder doesn't take a vacation), a huge installation crashes to the ground at a vernissage, with the artist beneath it.
