Hamish Hawk

Born in Edinburgh and musically influenced by his family's record collections, Hamish Hawk found his way to music at an early age. After his first releases and collaborations, he first attracted international attention with his album Heavy Elevator (2021) - critics celebrated him and a nomination for the Scottish Album of the Year Award followed. With Angel Numbers (2023) and the current album A Firmer Hand(2024), which went straight to number one in the Scottish charts, he cemented his reputation as one of the most exciting new artists on the British indie scene. Musically, Hawk moves between indie pop, art rock, chamber pop and new wave influences. His warm baritone and his visually powerful, often ironically broken lyrics are reminiscent of great chansoniers such as Charles Aznavour or Jacques Brel, but at the same time build bridges to modern acts such as the Arctic Monkeys. Together with his fellow musicians Andrew Pearson and Stefan Maurice, he creates a multi-faceted, text-oriented sound that remains as accessible as it is headstrong. After a successful tour of Germany in early 2025, Hamish Hawk returns for two more concerts in November
