ANTJE PRÜTZ - Hängematten-Wandern in den Alpen

In the organizer's words:

The Alps - a place of longing for many hikers. This is also the case for Antje.

Whenever possible, Antje spends the nights on her tours sleeping under trees with a view of the treetops and the endless starry sky in a hammock. During her crossing of the Alps in 2022, she keeps imagining what it would be like to spend the night in the countless beautiful places. She gazes longingly out of the windows of the mountain huts at the alpenglow.
The Alpine region is almost entirely made up of national parks or protected areas; wild camping here is not only generally prohibited, but also a "no go" for the outdoor enthusiast.

1.5 years later, she stumbles across an article about the world's first hammock trail in the middle of the Swiss Alps.
Above Lake Maggiore, in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, lies the village of Bosco Gurin, which is surrounded by a network of hammock sites created as part of the Ggurijnar Hermi project.

In 2024, Antje returns to the Alps and walks the hammock trail, which is a community-oriented initiative designed to connect everyone, locals and hikers like Antje, whose desire to experience the nature of the Alps up close, dangling under larch trees and over streams with a view of the majestic peaks of the Lepontine Alps, is great. A longing comes true for Antje.

In her talk, she will share practical tips for a trip on this special hammock trail. Above all, however, she will tell stories about her encounters with people and Alpine nature.

• Unless otherwise stated, the lectures take place in the basement. There is only room for a limited number of guests in this unique setting, which is why we strongly recommend advance booking.
• Please note that admission is only possible via our main entrance (corner of Isartorplatz) until 20:10.
• The event area is barrier-free.
• We are happy to consider wheelchair spaces when allocating seats - please register in advance via shop-muenchen@globetrotter.de.
• There are toilets and disabled toilets on the event area floor.
• (Companion) dogs are welcome during the event, but must be registered.
• For a donation of € 2,- we provide various drinks for sale. The proceeds will go towards our annual sleeping bag fundraiser. Only limited change is available.
