Harbour Sounds at Subrosa Dortmund - 11.09.2025

Harbour Sounds invites you to a special evening at Subrosa: three bands, three different approaches to punk - from Australia and Dortmund.

The Vovos (Cock Rock / Melbourne, AUS)�The five-piece band from Melbourne is known for its mix of humor, attitude and unbridled energy. With their second album Lilla Gubben in the bag, they bring their idiosyncratic cock rock sound to Dortmund - a mixture of punk attitude, girl mosh and unexpected pop influences.

Checkpoint (Egg Punk / Melbourne, AUS)�Checkpoint was formed in 2023 as a side project by producer Erik Scerba - it has since become a six-piece supergroup. With members from bands such as Hobsons Bay Coast Guard, Pinch Points and Gutter Girls, Checkpoint quickly established themselves in Melbourne's vibrant underground scene. Their sound: machine-like rhythms, distorted guitars and an intensity that has already won over Henry Rollins ("The coolest record I've listened to over the past couple of days").

Bärte mit Mädchen (Bartcore / Dortmund)�Local support comes from Bärte mit Mädchen - a band that combines humor and attitude. Their songs are loud, direct and playful. Between pogoing, clear announcements and a wink, they bring topics such as equality, freedom and diversity to the stage.
