Heavy Metal Movie Night: Wolves

WOLVES

To escape her family stress and her monotonous job, 23-year-old Luana plunges into the black metal scene in Switzerland. At a concert by the band WLVS, she meets the charismatic singer Wiktor, to whom she is immediately attracted. Wiktor also seems interested in Luana and so she spontaneously decides to accompany the band on their tour and take care of social media and merchandising. A relationship develops between her and Wiktor, and back in Switzerland she moves in with him. But his behavior remains unpredictable - sometimes tender, sometimes dismissive. The band's "game" with politically right-wing ideas also increasingly becomes a test of endurance.
Director and screenwriter Jonas Ulrich, who is making his feature film debut with "Wolves", wanted to make the scene as authentic as possible. The black metal band WLVS was founded especially for the film and went on tour with their own songs and played in real clubs for the shoot. "Wolves" was awarded the Youth Jury Prize and the Film Critics' Prize at the Max Ophüls Prize 2026. In cooperation with the Bremen Hellseatic Festival www.hellseatic.de
