Troglauer: revolutionaries of new folk music and undisputed party guarantors

When the first chords fly through the crowd, the bass vibrates and frontman Domml raises his arms with a broad grin, there's no holding back. The Troglauer have taken over again 3 somewhere between the Upper Palatinate and the world stage. And suddenly anything is possible: folk music flirts with rock, party beats thunder with accordion sounds and the boundaries between tradition and modernity simply dissolve.

While elsewhere music is often cooked according to a recipe, the Troglauer stir their own soup. A strong pinch of folk music, a good dash of party beats, plus pithy rock riffs and melodies that ignite immediately - that's the unmistakable sound that knows no genre boundaries. Trying to pigeonhole this band is like trying to squeeze all the peaks of the Alps into a shoebox 3 it doesn't fit, and that's a good thing. Because the Troglauer breathe the freedom of not being pigeonholed, and that is exactly what gives their music its intoxicating strength.

The troupe around Domml, Willi, Danny, Nicki and Mike mix everything that is fun into a sound that makes the crowd shake. And suddenly the audience is shouting lines like: "What should I say? He was right!" By now, even the last ones know: Today is going to be wild.

For a long time, folk music was seen as something for the older generation. But the image has changed. The Troglauer stand like no other band for the fact that tradition and modernity do not have to be opposites. Their fans come from all age groups, from teenagers to grandmothers, from partygoers to families. There is no better compliment for the Troglauer.
The five friends roll into the hearts of their fans on tractors, bobsleds and lawnmowers 3 down-to-earth, with a wink and always with an extra portion of passion. Nothing is staged here, everything is real.

With his likeable manner and infectious energy, Domml draws the audience to his side from the very first moment, as if you were partying with a good friend. Willi on drums, whose beats make the tent pulsate like a heartbeat, Danny on guitar, who makes the sparks fly, Nicki on bass, who grounds the songs, and Mike, who is versatility personified with accordion, guitar and vocals - sometimes virtuoso, sometimes powerful and always with a feel for the perfect moment. Together they are more than just a band. They are the hosts of an evening in which all differences become blurred. When the first chord of >Haberfeldtreiber< erklingt, hält das Publikum längst nicht mehr still. Und spätestens beim >Bobfahrerlied< singt der ganze Platz lauter als die Band. Was als augenzwinkernde Hymne auf die Geschwindigkeit begann, wurde zum Evergreen 3 und zur offiziellen Hymne des deutschen Bob-Olympiateams. Keine Partyband kommt an dem Hit vorbei, er gehört längst zum festen Repertoire von Coverbands im ganzen Land. Wenn die ersten Takte erklingen, bilden die Fans wie auf Kommando Sitzreihen, legen die Hände auf die Schultern des Vordermanns und wiegen im Bobsled-Takt nach links und rechts. Wer die Choreografie nicht draufhat, wird vom Nebenmann kurzerhand eingewiesen. Doch die Troglauer sind mehr als Feierbiester. Hinter der Band stecken fünf echte Kerle mit Haltung und Bodenständigkeit. Seit Jahren engagieren sie sich als Paten der Initiative >Schule ohne Rassismus 3 Schule mit Courage< at the Markus-Gottwalt-Schule in Eschenbach. Their commitment to respect and diversity shows that music can also build bridges. And that sometimes it takes more than a loud chorus 3 namely people who take a stand and inspire others.

On stage, however, it remains one thing above all: loud and uninhibited. Their music has long since taken them beyond the borders of Bavaria. Whether at the Alpen Flair in South Tyrol, the Woodstock of brass music in Austria, at the OpenAir Wildhaus in Switzerland or at the Oktoberfest in Blumenau, Brazil 3 die Troglauer bring every stage to a boil. They rocked the Allianz Arena in Munich at half-time of a DFB Cup match and turned the Sound of Glarus in Switzerland into a folk rock temple. They are particularly proud of their own festival in Kemnath, which now enjoys cult status and attracts thousands of fans.

The Troglauer are a phenomenon because they do what they love. Because they have never forgotten where they come from.
