From Friday, August 29 to Sunday, August 31, 2025, the KulturCentrale invites you to Hecht#Tag - FestivalHochDrei, a potpourri of live music, DJs, sound & art performances, creative workshops, an art exhibition and an art market by local artists. All Hechtians are invited to celebrate, dance and get creative with us in front of the KulturCentrale

The special Hechtviertel feeling

Music in the streets, dancing on the cobblestones, the smell of culinary delights in the air and conversations that go on into the night - this is exactly what makes the Hechtviertel so special. A weekend where neighborhood, culture, creativity and joie de vivre come together.
Hecht#Tag - FestivalHochDrei celebrates this attitude to life and this unique neighborhood: colorful, open, warm - with new ideas, familiar faces, exciting discoveries and lots of Hechtviertel charm.

Celebrate with us for three days full of music, participatory art, creative surprises and a lively community spirit. The festival invites all Hechtians, friends and culture enthusiasts to join in the celebrations, dance along and create new memories together.

21:00 - Riley & Voltz - Singer-Songwriter/Americana/Folk
Dan Riley (Lancashire, UK) and Steve Voltz (Long Island, NY) met in the Dresden music scene and have been playing together since 2018. With strong two-part harmonies and acoustic instrumentation, they deliver the best of their respective backgrounds - authentic songs that draw from Americana, blues, Irish and folk music. The guys have already traveled with their music through Germany, as far as England and Ireland and have played at some better known events (Rudolstadt, Folklorum, Palaissommer). After releasing an EP in 2020, they are currently recording a new album.

12:00 - Mando Mand:ela - Organic, Afro House & Electronic Dance
Mando Mand:ela is a DJ from Dresden. Her roots are in Lusatia and she has grown artistically in the Dresden Neustadt scene. As an integral part of the collective Bunte Louise and musically categorized in the genre Emotional Dance & Electronical Beats, she plays in clubs, at festivals and at her own events. She not only makes people dance, but also makes them just be and let themselves drift. Together with her friend Lizz (yoga teacher), she has launched the "Tanz Dich glücklich" project and is creating a place where free dance and human being come together. On Hecht#Tag Mando Mand:ela gives an acoustic insight into the next Tanz Dich glücklich journey 💚 be there!

Kalsarikännit have been combining elements of blues and funk in their music since 2015. Their influences come from these genres as well as far beyond. The musicians deliberately do not commit themselves to a specific direction, but follow what they feel like and what suits them. Their aim is to develop their own interesting style in this way.

Immigrated, moved out, stayed here, arrived. 20 musicians from Germany, Syria, Palestine, Scotland, Israel, Brazil, Italy, Bavaria, Russia, Poland and Iraq. In their suitcases: a repertoire of Afrofunk, Balkan brass, klezmer, cumbia and oriental hits. Their common home: Dresden.

Founded as a protest band against Nazi marches in 2001, it was clear to Banda Comunale from the outset that their musical repertoire had to embrace the world. Where angry citizens in Dresden culturally isolate themselves, they fill clubs, streets and squares with sound. With Serbian coceks, Colombian cumbias or Algerian rai.
