In addition to her reading, the author also talks to historian Lilly Maier about the post-war period in Munich under American occupation and the city as a central gathering point for various home and returnee groups.

In May 1945, the end of the Second World War set a new course in politics and society that still influences the way we live together today. The program "1945-2025 Zero Hour? How we became what we are." of the Munich Cultural Department would like to commemorate this with an extensive program of events.
