Heilstätten Slam

Next to the dilapidated, once magnificent dome-roofed bathing hall, surrounded by rustling pines and empty sanatorium buildings, you will discover a magnificent 19th-century building by architects Boethke and Schmieden. Tuberculosis was raging in Berlin and the sick fled to the sanatoriums outside the city gates. Today, many parts of the former showpiece sanatorium are abandoned lost places, the doors barred and the squares barred. And while more and more construction projects are reclaiming the site for housing and living space, a few corridors and a few halls have fallen out of time.

Welcome to the Beelitz Heilstätten.

Within walking distance of the Heilstätten train station, 35 minutes from Berlin Zoo station, a magical place awaits you, whose gates are usually closed to the curious eye.

The Kiezpoeten Poetry Slam in Beelitz-Heilstätten is not just another new slam in Brandenburg. It is live culture in the beautifully renovated green hall, a stage for locals and newcomers as well as well-traveled professionals. It's comedy and deep poetry against the most beautiful backdrop imaginable. Spoken word meets lost place, culture meets nature.

After the famous and sold-out summer shows, we are now bringing regular slam culture to this enchanted place with the Heilstätten Slam - this time indoors!
