A young scientist falls from a skyscraper in Boston. Detective Brickle quickly discovers a series of inconsistencies: The dead woman was researching an important project at the renowned Virology Institute and was apparently on the verge of a breakthrough. Together with virologist Frank, Brickle finally discovers that the scientist had manipulated a virus so that it could be used as a deadly and targeted weapon.
