Herman van Veen - Open Air 2026

He sings his repertoire in five languages seemingly effortlessly. He first appeared on stage in 1966 and has been traveling the world with his performances ever since. No Dutch artist is as celebrated in international theaters as this artistic jack-of-all-trades from Utrecht: L'Olympia Paris, Carré Amsterdam, Konzerthaus Vienna, Admiralspalast Berlin, Carnegie Hall N.Y., De Bonkelaar Sliedrecht. You never know what Herman will play. His performance can change from one day to the next, as he has already demonstrated in the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. The Hamburger Abendblatt wrote afterwards: "Herman took the Elbphilharmonie by storm."

Herman van Veen is the father of four children, grandfather of three grandchildren and stepfather of the orphaned duck Alfred Jodocus Kwak.
