About oppression, death and liberation: the Heidelberg ESG choir invites you to a themed evening on the subject of witch-hunts. The "Hexenszenen" by Heinz Acker, a work for soprano, baritone and orchestra, will be sung, followed by a requiem for choir. The program will be complemented by the world premiere of an original composition by the choir, "Ausbruchstimmung", which counters the gloomy theme of persecution and oppression with a composed idea of liberation.
In cooperation with Heidelberg schoolchildren, an exhibition on the subject of witch-hunts will also be set up in the church, which can be viewed before and after the concert. Admission from 6 pm.
