The dance performance Hey Sister! invites us to rethink sisterhood: biological, chosen and socially shaped. The piece is a feminist examination of sibling constellations and deliberately takes a broader look at the term "sister". Between closeness and rivalry, cohesion and demarcation, Hennermann's Horde examines how complex and multi-layered these relationships are. Themes from fairy tales and pop culture meet questions about sisterhood: solidarity, empowerment and new forms of community. Three dancers from contemporary and urban dance invite the audience to rediscover, reflect on and re-examine their own experiences of relationships.
