When members of Hamas, Islamic Jihad and civilians attacked the kibbutzim near the Gaza border and the Novalook music festival in the morning hours of October 7, 2023, dashcams and handheld cameras filmed the attack, the murders and the rapes. Photos of the destroyed fence were also shown in posts and Instagram feeds and the resistance was celebrated. But the attack was also accompanied by drawings, and just a few days later a cartoon appeared showing Netanyahu wearing a swastika next to an incinerator in Auschwitz: the Palestinian population is being burned to death in the oven. To this day, there is a controversial debate as to whether the Israeli army's military operation in Gaza constitutes genocide or not, but such a cartoon attempts to draw attention to the Palestinian victims immediately after the massacre by Hamas. But what are the possibilities beyond such propaganda drawings? In Israel, but also in Germany, there have been attempts to reflect the events in complex comics
