We celebrate inclusive art practice!

Together with the mixed-abled collective i can be your translator , Schauspiel Dortmund invites you to a three-day festival that marks the end of an intensive, three-year collaboration as part of the program for inclusive art practice (pik). Under the title Hurray, Theater for Many! we look back, celebrate the present - and think ahead to the future.

For three days, we open the stage, studio and foyer for artistic encounters, exchange and joint celebrations. The focus will be on performances and guest appearances by artists with and without disabilities that show how diverse and lively inclusive theater work can be. The program is complemented by insights into joint productions, workshops, talks and musical formats.

The festival invites you to ask together: How does inclusion change aesthetics, structures and attitudes in the theater?

A documentary film about the cooperation provides insights behind the scenes and tells of the challenges, experiments and successes of an inclusive way of working. A networking brunch will bring together artists, cultural actors and experts. And, of course, there will also be time to celebrate - with concerts, parties and plenty of room for new ideas.

Hurra, Theater für Viele! sees inclusion not as a special issue, but as an attitude - as an artistic and social principle that opens up spaces, breaks down barriers and enables new perspectives.
