Two hours, four performances and lots of variety: Iris Boockmann and Jan Lehmann guide you with humor and musical interludes through a surprising small art program with great Hamburg artists that you have never seen before. With them this time:
What began as an absurd crazy idea has now developed into a real project close to the heart: Ansgar Adamski brings an idiosyncratic mixture of music, performance and storytelling to the stage with his sousaphone. In his one-man show, he combines absurd everyday stories with deep tones in a very unique form that hovers somewhere between street art, musical theater and living room concert. A show that is just as imperfect as life itself - and that's exactly why you should experience it!
Thanks to an autonomous youth center and to improve their pocket money, three musically capable musicians with sparse instruments once came together. The shopping area under their butts, as a medium for their lyrics and as an argument against the whole thing. Almost two decades later, the three friends still stick together musically, are a bit of an antifa boy band and tell stories with songs and theater. Lyrically, humor has replaced the wagging index finger of past decades, performative elements have found their way in and roughly all musical genres appear. Effects are also used, but still completely analog and acoustic, which makes the music very pure. Miniature punk and guileless anti-pop from the heart.
Malu has been experimenting with sounds since childhood - from guitar and bass to kalimba, cajón and handpan. This ufo-shaped brass instrument in particular has accompanied her in recent years. Malu is fascinated by the unique combination of percussion and melody that the handpan offers. In music, Malu has found a way to process and express feelings and to share them with others. The handpan in particular opens up a space for enchanting sounds and a meditative way of playing that is deeply moving. They want to use music to invite people to feel gently within themselves, carried by the sounds - sometimes calm and meditative, sometimes lively and full of movement.
The singer-songwriter and guitarist Maximilian Meeder combines poetic, touching lyrics with expressive and sensitive guitar playing. With an alert mind and a dreamy eye, he creates songs that are both emotional and profound in content. He continues the tradition of German-language songwriting and combines it with elements of folk music. In his lyrics, we encounter images of nature and landscapes such as the rugged coastline as well as stories about people and thoughtful reflections on social developments. With his sensitive melodies, both in new compositions and in his exploration of older songs, he remains closely connected to his North German homeland and its people. At the same time, he manages to build a bridge between generations - through music that is timelessly moving and thought-provoking.
