Hydra: PULSE x NICK DUNSTON

The progressive string quartet PULSE presents Hydra!

On the menu: A collaboration with Nick Dunston, a work by Sarah Davachi and gabb [BRILLO LENTA].

In Hydra, Nick Dunston and PULSE use audio feedback, contact microphones, battery-powered amplifiers, voice and banjos to explore soundscapes that move between wild, untamed noisiness and subtle, controlled timbres. Between regeneration and multi-headedness, individual and collective identity, shared fleeting musical moments are created that are inextricably bound to time and place. Hydra is thus both an exploration of sound, feedback and rebirth, and a celebration of community, individual expression and the radical love of musicians.

Sarah Davachi opens up new perceptions of the familiar and the distant, manipulating our sense of time into extended durations with minimal, patient changes.

As gabb [BRILLO LENTA] ,Gabriela Valdespino deals with questions of collectivity and togetherness. Based on shared theoretical and practical foundations, she examines memories, myths and social dynamics with a performative interest in order to create spaces of listening that enable physical experience and critical debate.
