ARTIST-INFO: Ice Dream Social is an alt-pop duo from Berlin and Cologne, consisting of Sebastian Maier and Jirka Wunsch. Their style of modern pop music was first expressed on the diy EP "Daggus" (2019). The combination of Sebastian's clear yet vulnerable voice, his catchy yet playful vocal melodies and Jirka's penchant for experimental sampling are the starting points of their work. Both are refined on her debut album "Jin-Woo" ( 03/2025) to create a clear artistic identity that nevertheless always remains rooted in ambivalence. Nostalgic-modern soundscapes, emotionally charged melodies and unyielding beats create a space for the lyrics, which tell of feelings of loss, searches and new beginnings in relation to oneself and in a_romantic relationships. "Jin-Woo" is the name of the best friend who lives on in memories and is a symbol for what pushes us away - into weightlessness. Live, Ice Dream Social like to experiment with their songs without losing the common thread. While some are enriched with rhythmic guitar licks or dreamy synthesizer sounds, the duo reduces other songs to their emotional core. The whole thing is held together by a passionate vocal performance and the playful dynamic between Seb and Jirka.
