In the organizer's words:
"I've never met a Jew" - Jews in Germany often hear this sentence. Gerhard Haase-Hindenberg counters this ignorance and distance with personal portraits: he tells of the children and grandchildren of Shoa survivors, of newcomers from Eastern Europe, Israel and America, and of people who have converted to Judaism.
These stories deal with everyday life, hope, faith and life in a society in which anti-Semitism is on the rise again. They are supplemented by explanations of symbols, religious practice and Jewish history.
