Nele Jongeling reads from her newly published graphic novel ICH WILL NICHT ARBEITEN (Reprodukt) using images, sound and voice.

Edith has been looking for a job since completing her studies, but she doesn't actually want to work. In the hope of finding a suitable position anyway, she takes part in "Project Dream Job" - a new TV show organized by the Federal Office for Careers. There she gets the chance to get the perfect job, but has to face a number of challenges together with her fellow contestants...

With subtle wit and clear lines, Nele Jongeling takes us on a
absurd media satire that pokes fun at capitalism in its very own way. She sends her protagonists on a turbulent adventure that is not least an entertaining reflection on the concept of work.

Nele Jongeling is a comic artist in Düsseldorf. Since studying communication design at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences and graphic storytelling at the LUCA School of Arts in Brussels, she has worked as an illustrator, lecturer and author. Her work is mostly autobiographical and deals with themes such as work, feminism and lesbianism.
