IG-Jazz Session

In the organizer's words:

The IG-Jazz session is a meeting place for the jazz and related music scene. A band plays an opening set, followed by jamming from a common repertoire. For the audience, jazz comes alive and can be experienced, for the musicians it is a place to try out their skills and meet new people. It is also an opportunity to invite bands from other cities and thus promote networking between the scenes.

Every second and fourth Monday of the month at Casino im Rampenlicht.

jazzheads play Coltrane

John Coltrane would have been one hundred years old on September 23, 2026. The grand master of the tenor saxophone has influenced generations of artists, in some cases far beyond jazz.
To mark this anniversary, Lukas Pfeil and Johannes Hamm are presenting a Coltrane program with their quartet 'jazzheads'.
It is important to them to remain true to the style of the pieces without wanting to copy the original versions. The 'jazzheads' are always open to the musical moment. The subtle interaction between the musicians creates an exciting and lively concert experience.
