Christian Evers: Im Geist des Zen

In the organizer's words:

The exhibition "In the Spirit of Zen" is dedicated to the combination of movement and stillness, liveliness and contemplation. The focus is on the attempt to capture the present moment in its fleeting, dynamic and at the same time still dimension. With expressive brushwork and deliberate reduction, scenes are created that radiate a deep, inner calm despite their liveliness.

The works use minimalist techniques inspired by Japanese ink painting and Zen philosophy. Omitted details, left-out areas of color and free brushstrokes stimulate the imagination. These stylistic devices leave room to breathe and create a transparent freshness in which the invisible appears behind the forms - the mystery from which everything emerges.

The exhibition invites visitors to go beyond the visible and embark on an inner journey. It poses the question: Can the spirit of Zen - that living silence - be transmitted to us through art?
