Award-winning photographer and author Priska Seisenbacher has been traveling the high mountain regions of Pamir and Karakorum, the border regions of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, China and Afghanistan for years. Alone.

In her captivating live reportage, she tells of people who cope with everyday life in this harsh region, but also of conflicts and borderline experiences.

She experiences the sometimes very different and surprising world of women, arranged marriages, opium consumption, suspicion of espionage and hard work - but also warm hospitality, dreams, longings and breathtaking nature.

As a woman, she moves between two worlds, sits by the fire with men and shares her most intimate stories with women. She encounters conflicts and cultural borderline experiences, but also surprising openness and courageous new beginnings.

A reportage about intense encounters, cultural experiences and stories full of border crossings in a world that is largely unknown to us and usually remains hidden.
