Peasants become kings.

Voices become music.

In the third educational project of the KlangForum Heidelberg
young people and professionals together on stage. They play with
History and the future: Peasants' War. Mao. Gender justice.
Revolution! Protest! Dreams!

A sounding chessboard is created on stage: rules determine the game.
the game. Pieces move. Sacrifices are made.

IMAGINE is loud and quiet, poetic and angry, full of energy and
full of questions. An evening between sound installation and protest choir,
between history and the present, between failure and hope.

IMAGINE: What is your utopia?

The project "Die Freiheit der Anderen" is being developed by the KlangClub together with the AG GegenKlang of the Elisabeth-von-Thadden Gymnasium.

Together with our two theater teachers Magdalena Erhard and Nelly Sautter as well as the music teacher Johannes Balbach, the young people are working with the artistic director, Ekkehard Windrich, on a project on the big question of social justice. On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the Peasants' War and a look at the peasant uprisings of the Chinese population, the past and present are brought to life in sound.
