In der Krise?

In the organizer's words:
  • With Prof. Dr. Oliver Kratz, child and adolescent psychiatrist, University Hospital Erlangen, and other guests

It's not just since the coronavirus pandemic that we seem to be in a permanent crisis: current wars, the climate crisis and social tensions are also shaping the everyday lives of young people. At the same time, adolescence is a time of future plans, educational careers, career choices and increasing social participation. Can resilience be learned? How do young people today look to the future? How do they deal with pressure and fears? Do social crises affect the mental health of young people?

About the lecture series:
Likes, levels, pressure to perform - A series of events on the mental health of children and young people
On their way to adulthood, children and young people face a variety of tasks and challenges. Their mental health plays a central role in this. This series of events is aimed at parents, teachers and anyone interested in finding out more about what motivates young people and what strengthens them mentally. It takes a look at this formative phase of life and highlights the influences of family, social environment, school and media. Together with experts from research and practice, we will discuss How can mental well-being be supported during the important phase of growing up, personality development and identity formation? And how do we counter psychological risks?
The series of events is aimed at parents, educators and anyone interested in finding out more about what motivates young people and what strengthens them mentally.
