Technology, economy, society. Innovation!

What if the light bulb had never been invented? Or penicillin? If computers and telephones had never become part of our everyday lives? Questions like these show how much innovations change our lives and how crucial they are for economic development.

The first InnovationFestival on the campus of Bielefeld University and Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences shows how new technologies and scientific findings are translated into marketable solutions. With around 70 program items - from workshops and lab tours to start-up pitches and live demonstrations - application-oriented research meets entrepreneurial practice directly.
The topics range from artificial intelligence in SMEs, smart production processes and sustainable materials to digital assistance systems and AI-supported diagnostics.

Companies gain exciting insights into current research projects, discover potential for cooperation and gain valuable impetus for their own innovations. The festival brings the transfer of knowledge and technology between science and business to life in a practical, interactive and future-oriented way.
