Classical ballet evening - From Mainz to the big stage of the world

20 years of ballet art between tradition and the future

On May 24, the Rheingoldhalle Mainz opens its stage for a festive evening of classical ballet.

To mark its 20th anniversary, the StarBallet Mainz ballet school is presenting an extraordinary program that combines the great tradition of classical dance with the artistic future of a new generation.

The program includes highlights from the classical repertoire, including the second act from "Swan Lake" as well as scenes from "Carmen", "Don Quixote" and "Paquita" - performed with classical stylistic fidelity and dancing elegance. The evening is also dedicated to the 200th birthday of the composer Ludwig Minkus, whose music is still one of the mainstays of classical ballet today.

Internationally acclaimed young artists and soloists from national opera houses will perform:

the multi-award-winning young ballet star Florentina Trümpler,

Danylo Motkov, soloist of the Varna State Opera,

and Danyil Podhrushko, former soloist of the National Opera of Ukraine and current soloist at the theater in Split.

The evening tells of artistic paths that begin early and lead far:

from the first steps in the ballet hall to performances on international stages. A ballet evening for lovers of classical dance, for audiences interested in culture and for all those who want to experience the timeless magic of classical ballet in a festive setting.
